Guide to Mental Health : London Health
A Guide to Mental Health.
Millions of people are affected by mental health problems each year, either directly or as a result of a relative or friend being diagnosed with a mental health condition. Mental health problems are much more common than people think, affecting 1 in 4 people at some point in their lives; many cases are mild but some can be very serious. Mental health often gets negative press and consequently people are unaware of the gravity of some mental health conditions. In reality, little is known about many conditions and there is a widespread lack of understanding of many mental health illnesses. Contrary to popular belief, mental health problems can affect anyone; many people feel embarrassed about having a mental health condition but they can spiral out of control so it is important to discuss the condition with a doctor and sort out treatment as quickly as possible.
