- Stammering or stuttering
- Cluttering: this causes problems with the flow and clarity of speech as the person often talks very quickly and without the clarity that makes their speech easily understood.
- Apraxia: commonly known as oral-motor speech disorder, this makes it difficult for people to move the muscles in the face to produce certain sounds
- Articulation problems: finding it difficult to pronounce certain sounds
- Lisp: this relates to problems pronouncing the letters ‘S’ and ‘Z’
