Stye : London Health
A stye is a small, swollen red lump that forms on the eyelid; it is caused by an eyelash follicle becoming infected and swollen. The infection is caused by bacteria. Styes are a mild condition, which can usually be treated with regular bathing; gently wash the eye with a warm damp cloth. If this doesn’t work a doctor may prescribe a course of antibiotic tablets or an antibiotic cream.
